Keeper of the Lost Cities (KOTLC) is….
Fascinating
Incredible
Stunning
Breathtaking
Unbelievable
Marvelous
Terrifying
Suspenseful
Amazing
Wonderful
Prodigious
And it all comes down to just one word: awesome.
Go read Keeper of the Lost Cities because, in my honest opinion, it’s the best series in the world.
Think of all the authors in the world. All the books, all the pages, and all the words. But Keeper of the Lost Cities stands out over all those books and pages. KOTLC will drag you into a life of magic and friendship, as if it’s your own.
Keeper of the Lost Cities is a 9 book series, soon to be 10. It’s written by Shannon Messenger, and is recommended to all ages. Kids and adults alike.
As New York Times bestselling author Michael Buckly said, “Keeper of the Lost Cities is a little bit Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, a little bit Lord of the Rings, and a little bit Harry Potter. And it's all fun!”
When I read KOTLC, I laughed, cried, and then did it all over again.
Keeper of the Lost Cities is about a 12 year old girl named Sophie Foster, who is a telepath. She can hear the thoughts of everyone around her. For the past seven years, Sophie thought she was the only one. A jack-o-lantern in a field of pumpkins. One in a million. Different.
But one day, she meets a boy named Fitz. A boy just like her, who tells Sophie that everything is not as it seems. She, herself, isn’t who she thought she was. The whole world isn’t the whole world. It’s just a fraction.
Before she can undertake what her life truly means, Sophie finds herself leaving behind everything she knows, to start a new life. A new life, in a new, perfect world.
But for the first time in history, it isn’t so perfect after all.
I loved Keeper of the Lost Cities, not only because of the figurative writing and strong plot, but because over time, the characters became my friends.
You can get Keeper of the Lost Cities on your Kindle, at your local library, or bookstore.
